Ladies and Extension Tubes

Yes!  The ladies are back in town!  Lady bugs that is.  Which was terrific since their arrival, at the Armstrong nursery, coincided with the delivery of my extension tubes.

There are approximately 1,500 ladies in one container.  And you keep them in the refrigerator until you are ready to release them in your garden (the cold keeps them asleep).  I took out about ten of them to use in my macro "photo shoot".  Only two stuck around for the camera.

A wing left untucked.

One without spots.

 Getting ready for take-off.

High contrast to bring out the texture of the strawberry flower's petals.

 Shallow depth of field.

After the "ladies" left, an uninvited guest arrived to feed on the strawberry plant's leaves.
